How do I reserve the Villa or Apartment?

There is a booking form on each page to enable you to view availability and the price of your chosen accommodation.  The Contact Us will also enable you to speak to use directly about reserving your Accommodation.  We will require a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the cost of your stay to reserve.  For more information, please see our Terms and Conditions.

Can you provide a transfer for us?

Yes we can arrange a transfer for you at a cheaper price if you would like us to – you just need to notify us in advance. Bookings of 3 weeks or more will benefit from free transport. The journey from Dalaman airport (nearest airport) to Ovacik takes roughly 50 minutes. Prices and information can be given at the time of reservation.  

What requirements are there for entry to Turkey?

UK Passport holders will need to get a Visa and need to have at least 6 months left on their Passports for entry; please visit this site to make sure that you meet the entry requirements.  Visas are purchased online before departure – there is a link here.  More on this and the general situation in Turkey relevant to UK tourists can be found here.

Why do you need to know our Passport and flight information?

We are required by Turkish Law to submit details of all individuals staying at our accommodation for the entire length of their stay – this is part of their anti-terror regulations and something we must comply with. 

Who flies from the UK to Turkey?

Tui, EasyJet, British Airways, Thomas Cook and Jet2 fly directly from UK airports into Dalaman and other Turkish airports. Try to book your flight well in advance to get the best price but obviously after checking that the accommodation is available for the dates you wish to travel. You can also use Turkish Airlines or Pegasus Airlines, but this requires a stopover in Istanbul and makes the journey time longer.

Where is the best place to change local currency?

Turkey uses new Turkish Lira (TL), the average rate being around 4 – 4.5TL to £1 (depending on the month of travel but normally tends to get worse around peak season). In our experience, it’s best to change money in Turkey to get the best rates, but at the local bureau de change in Ovacik and NOT at the airport. Please ask for more information at the time of booking. .

Is it safe to drink the local water?

The local water is very high in mineral content, and while the locals are used to this we don’t advise you to use this water apart from washing, making hot drinks and cooking. Bottled water is very cheap in Turkey but both the Villa and Apartment are fitted with water coolers, and local shops can supply, very cheaply, the large water containers required for these coolers .

How far away are the local shops?

The Apartment is near, by foot, to all local shops and restaurants. 

The villa however is located further up in the hills (hence benefiting from the great views) so getting to the shops by foot can take a long time. However for your convenience we will provide you with a phone number to call for free transport to any local shop and back to the villa.

Is the Oludeniz beach near and how do we get there?

Yes, the Oludeniz beach is 10 minutes away by bus (every 10 minutes from the main road costing £1 per person) and 2 minutes away by taxi (which costs about £5). Oludeniz has both public and separate private beaches. You can get a free shuttle to the private beaches provided you hire a sun bed from them and order food/drink.

Where is the nearest hospital?

There are several practices located in Ovacik and Hisaronu, all of which will provide services to holiday makers. The nearest hospitals are located in Fethiye.

It is easy to forget that when you come to Turkey, you are not only outside the EU but on a different continent. Thus, please make sure that you have adequate travel insurance in place for your visit.
